Focus ("the App") is designed with privacy as a first principle. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
All Pomodoro sessions and tasks are stored locally using SwiftData on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to enable iCloud Sync (Pro feature).
If you sign in and enable sync, your tasks and sessions are encrypted and stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database linked to your account. This data is used solely to sync your Focus data across your devices. We do not share, sell, or analyze this data.
The App uses PostHog for anonymous, aggregate analytics — such as which features are used and crash reports. This data contains no personally identifiable information. You can opt out of analytics in Settings → Privacy.
Sentry collects anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs. These reports include device type, OS version, and a stack trace. No personal data is included.
Timer state is shared between your iPhone and Apple Watch using WatchConnectivity. This happens entirely on-device and is not transmitted to any server.
We use AppsFlyer to understand which ads led to app downloads. AppsFlyer follows Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework — we only receive attribution data after you grant permission. You can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Local data remains on your device until you delete the app. iCloud sync data is retained while your account is active. You can delete all synced data from Settings → Privacy → Delete All Data.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will always be available at this URL and within the App.
